If all the autistic people of the world designed and moved to their own city, I think it would be a lot different than a typical city. There would be no parades with firetruck sirens. There would be less cars and more trains. Stray animals would live lavishly. There would be a 24/7 library on every street corner, and many museums and collections to visit, as a lot of us have collections we would love to share. Many of us would make things or fix things to barter, and there would be more video game stores and comic book stores and hobby stores than a typical city. We would use the base 12 system, not change the clocks back, and rewrite the calendar to not have to do leap years. Our math would be on point. There would be no traffic lights, only roundabouts, and we would design our own roads and they would work much more efficiently than a typical city. We autistics love traffic and systems and designing things to work better. And it would always be improving. That’s another thing we autistics like to do: continually improve on previous designs.
We Autistics

As an individual proudly navigating life on the autism spectrum, I've embarked on a mission to spread joy, comfort, and empowerment through my unique creations. My own journey through the vibrant world of autism has taught me the beauty of sensory exploration and the invaluable comfort that certain textures, shapes, and sensations can bring. With Stimmables, I've found a way to channel this insight into creating a range of sensory accessories and chewelry that cater to diverse sensory needs. This is my personal blog, where I talk about navigating life on the autism spectrum in this neurotypical world, and share my kid's art as they do the same.
